Ultra-low-power accelerometer features embedded FIFO

The LIS3DH 3-axis accelerometer merges the advantage of enhanced embedded features, such as sleep-to-wakeup and return-to-sleep functions, with a significant reduction in power consumption - 90% lower than available solutions on the market.
The device contains a temperature sensor, three analog-to-digital converter channels,
a programmable FIFO memory block and two programmable interrupt signals. More

Explore our fluorescent lighting solutions

High-efficiency, high-frequency electronic ballasts ensure superior fluorescent lighting performances and additional energy saving while eliminating visible flicker and audible noise. Meeting the latest safety EMI and energy regulations, ST covers the widest range of electronic ballasts, from standard to the most advanced solutions. Explore the new fluorescent lighting pages and select the right product for each block element. ST is the first to host full 5-line ESD protection in a 1 mm² package

While competing devices can propose 4 lines in 1 mm² at best, the ESDALC6V1-5T6 and ESDA6V1-5T6 provide the smallest 5-line ESD protection housed in a 1 mm x 1 mm micro-DFN package with a thickness of only 0.4 mm. They offer a real integrated solution to be compliant with IEC 61000-4-2 ESD for PCBs with stringent size constraints.
The ESDALC6V1-5T6 (line capacitance: 9 pF) and ESDA6V1-5T6 (line capacitance: 34 pF) - in addition to their size - offer excellent clamping performances below 50 V together with high ESD robustness up to 15 kV contact discharge. These innovative products have already been adopted by one of our major smartphone manufacturers.More

Integrated balun saves 70% of board space, simplifies design and maximizes RF performance

The BAL-2690D3U is a balun designed to transform a single-ended signal to differential signals in Bluetooth applications. With less than 1.1 dB insertion losses in the 2400 MHz to 2500 MHz bandwidth, it has been customized for the STLC2690 Bluetooth transceiver. The BAL-2690D3U integrates a full impedance matching network, so no external components are required on the PCB. Both overall performances and PCB area are optimized. More

Power Schottky rectifiers housed in PowerFLAT™ feature a low-profile, slim package

The new power Schottky rectifiers STPS3045DJF, STPS30M100DJF and STPS30170DJF combine high power density and efficiency in low-profile PowerFLAT 5x6 packages.
The exposed pad of this PowerFLAT package reduces the PCB footprint while keeping the power capability optimized. Their low profile was specifically designed for applications with space-saving constraints. These new rectifiers extend ST's Schottky-rectifier portfolio in PowerFLAT packages with a full range of low-profile products. More

ST sponsors the second edition of the WorldDMB car manufacturers workshop

Broadcasters, automotive equipment suppliers, car manufarturers and automotive associations are invited to discuss the future of car radios in Europe. Radio remains one of the main in-car experiences since people spend so much time travelling to and from work each day. Digital radio enhances the developments of traffic and travel services. The workshop highlights the latest developments in digital broadcasting, especially inside cars, and will take place in Munich (Germany) on 7 July 2010. More
